Alex Peterffy

Alex Peterffy is the founder of The Living Forest Project, an initiative that works closely with indigenous communities of the Amazon to protect rainforests and to promote indigenous rights and cosmologies based on interconnectedness. Alex is trained as a teacher and facilitator of the MatrixWorks process, which combines principles of neuroscience, systems theory, Hakomi psychotherapy, spirituality and contemporary psychology to understand and support the growth and development of healthy groups that function as intelligent living systems. She also has training in work that nurtures deep connection with nature, systems thinking, and design skills for earth stewardship and community resiliency. Alex engages in group facilitation, therapeutic practices, and activism with the aim of helping to bring human systems into symbiotic harmony with natural systems. She lives in Ecuador and has spent extended time in the Amazon, learning from the forest and from the people who know Her best.
